According to local media reports, KMP Yunicee was en route from East Java to Bali with 53 passengers and crew when the accident occurred when the ferry docked near the port of Gillimanuck on the western tip of the island. When the Indonesian authorities responded to the incident, people were rescued from the water and many fainted after a turbulent time, CNA reported. However, the latest figures show that 11 people went missing and 7 were pulled out of the water and killed. The cause of the accident is unknown.
